Selecting a tenant
We recommend care is taken when selecting a tenant.
As landlord, you can specify the criteria that a tenant needs to meet. As your agent we place emphasis on the quality of the tenant as well as the amount of rent charged.
A tenant’s suitability for the individual property is checked in addition to their financial capability.
Where we are managing your property, we will hold a deposit equivalent to five weeks’ rent.
This will only be released back to the tenant when the following agreements are met:
- Tenancy terminated
- Premises in an acceptable condition and all keys returned
- Final accounts settled
For items requiring reinstatement, repair or cleaning, the tenant will cover the cost, usually from the deposit held by us.
