We’ll also handle the viewings and any offers that you subsequently receive.

Before offering your property for sale

Our valuers will visit you at your home and provide honest, dependable advice. From start to finish, we aim to answer all your questions with accuracy. As part of the valuing process, not only will we provide our thoughts on the value of your home, we will also provide advice on any small improvements that could make your property more appealing to potential buyers. We have access to several trades, who with our input could help you make those improvements to ensure your house is market ready.

All our valuations and the advice we give can be provided in writing on request.

Marketing your property

Having chosen Wilkie May & Tuckwood to sell your property, we will consider your individual needs. Each client is different, and we will pull on our experience to give you the best advice for your circumstances.

We will provide an accurate valuation and talk you through the services we can offer to include photography, floorplans, drone videos, and exposure to both our online and paper-based advertising.

Viewings at your property

We accompany all viewings, and our staff are trained to show your property in the best light possible. We will always give you prior notice, and ensure the viewing time and date is convenient for you making sure that you have time to prepare your property.

Once the viewing is finished, we will provide prompt initial feedback, and follow this up the next working day.

Negotiating an offer

Our job is to get you the best price possible. We will handle offers with careful thought and advise you on the strength of the offer and the circumstances of the buyer. In all situations we will check the position of the potential buyer, and their chain (if applicable) and the financial situation. Once we have collated all this information, we will work hard to secure your sale and support you throughout your transaction.

Conveyancing process

Each of our 5 offices has a dedicated sales’ progressor. You will have direct contact with that member of staff, so at any point during your sale if you have any questions or concerns then we are here to assist you. We pride ourselves on working with other local firms and would be happy to recommend a solicitor depending on your needs, the type of property you are selling and the time constraints of your sale.
