Wellington Office

Wellington lies some 7 miles to the west of the Somerset County town of Taunton which is easily reached by a regular bus service. (Mainline train services, Taunton to London Paddington in under 2 hours). Wellington is a particularly popular town in which to live because the M5 motorway junction 26 ensures the commuter can join the motorway from the centre of town in less than 5 minutes.

There are excellent schools and the community boasts a Farmers' Market, 3 food supermarkets including Waitrose, a good range of specialist shops, many indoor and outdoor sports in which to participate or watch, plus the ever popular Sports Centre with its 25 meter swimming pool, sports hall and range of courses. Wellington also has an Arts Centre and a unique and much loved 1930's cinema. Of special note is Wellington Park which is a small park linking the centre of Wellington to the surrounding countryside. Thanks to a heritage Lottery Grant the park is listed Grade II on the English Heritage Register.

Wellington is a friendly town overlooked by the well-known 175ft column known as Wellington Monument. It is built on the scarp edge of the Blackdown Hills, and Area of Outstanding Natural beauty. The Monument was erected in the Duke's honour and dominates the landscape around the area: The town's growth and prosperity date back to the 18th century when the local Fox Family built their integrated woollen mill. Visit the Wellington museum to find out more about this historic town and unravel the Fox Family legacy.
